What a fantastic evening we had at Old Forde House! A big thank you to all our wonderful guests who made it such a brilliant experience.👻

To start the night, we engaged in a brief exercise to get accustomed to the environment and heighten our senses. Guests were split into two teams to explore the lounge and coffers room. Both groups reported similar activities, such as tingling sensations in their arms and raising their hands into the air. They also experienced hot and cold sensations, as well as the smell of paraffin.

During our vigil in the panelled room (smoking lounge), we used a double Este which elicited intelligent responses from what seemed to be a soldier who died in battle. The touch-activated cat balls and teddy bear's arm were triggered on the mantelpiece after we asked the spirit to do so. Names Timothy and Ron came through, describing a feeling of being trapped on the battlefield. Both vigils witnessed the cat balls and teddy bear light up.

Throughout the lounge vigils, we employed techniques like dousing crystals and rods. Everyone had some interaction with spirits who had connections to the house before we moved on to table tipping and glass work. Unfortunately, we didn't get much activity from these methods, so we returned to a circle where guests started feeling temperature changes, reported their arms being raised, saw black shadows, and energy lights. Names Ron and James were mentioned, along with a very tall black shadow.

The Ouija board sessions in the third vigil were quiet, leading us to use various pieces of equipment which changed the energy. Intelligent responses by spirits indicated an awareness of death and the past while we are in the future. K2 meters were activated, motion balls lit up, and tapping on the rear panel wall was reported. In the fourth vigil, a strong Este session, along with the Alice box and dowsing rods, proved effective in making contact with a previous family linked to the property, resulting in the spirit lighting up all three K2 meters and a cat ball.

During the investigation of the dining room/basement in the third and fourth vigils, we practiced the old art of scrying, with one guest appearing as an older man. Moving to the cellar, we used the writing planchette to communicate with a servant named Sarah, while some guests tried their own lone vigils and reported being poked and feeling overcome.

In the fourth vigil, we had a very active writing planchette session communicating with a soldier we believed was connected to the house, referencing its temporary use to aid injured soldiers.

Overall, the investigation at Old Forde House was incredible. Thank you to all our lovely guests who brought their A-game to the hunt. We look forward to seeing you at future events!

We hope to see you at our next event at Great Fulford Manor in Exeter on September 20, 2024, and October 18, 2025 https://www.ghostlynights.com/event-details-registration/overnight-ghost-hunt-at-great-fulford-1
