Terms & Conditions

At Ghostly Nights, it is our aim to make your experience with us an enjoyable and unforgettable one.

Please note our Terms & Conditions as follows:

GENERAL

 

  • The minimum age to attend any event is 18. If we believe anyone is under the age is attending we will ask for proof of age. 

 

  • Some of our locations may not be suitable for guests with disabilities. We stipulate on each venue information page whether it is suitable. If you have any questions about this please reach out to us. We make every effort to ensure as many of our locations and events are accessible as possible.

 

  • Due to the nature of the experience, we do not allow heavily-pregnant individuals to attend events. For more information please contact us.

 

  • Everyone in attendance is required to act in a responsible and respectful manner at all times. You will not cause harm or injury to anyone else or put yourself or anyone else in danger. You will respect the nature of the event and behave accordingly. Failure to comply with this will result in you being asked to leave the event.

 

  • Alcohol & drugs are not permitted on any event. If any guest appears to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs or is suspected of bringing either alcohol or drugs to the event, they will be asked to leave immediately.

 

  • Smoking & vaping is not permitted inside any location, and or around the location. There are strict laws in place in the UK regarding smoking and naked flames. A designated smoking area will be available. You are not allowed to bring any naked flames into any location, this includes candles. Ghostly Nights will not be using candles for experimental purposes due to the safety hazards. Candles with batteries will be used instead.

 

  • Ghostly Nights will not be liable for any damage or loss to property and personal equipment either on the journey to the event, during the event and on the journey home from the event. This includes any damage that may be caused by any spiritual or poltergeist activity during the event.

 

  • Your safety is paramount. It is important that each guest is aware that they attend the events at their own risk. Ghostly Nights accept no liability for any accident/incident/injury to a guest. Ghostly Nights carry out a full risk assessment prior to the event in the attempts to foresee any potential problems or hazards in order to eliminate them before the event. However, due to the nature of the events and locations accidents can still happen and strict protocols to avoid this must be adhered to. Although Ghostly Nights has its own public liability insurance, some of our policies may not be covered due to the fact that some of the location boundaries are beyond the normal public access categories, therefore guests attend at their own risk.

 

  • Ghostly Nights accepts no responsibility for any damage to clothing, equipment, vehicles or personal belongings. All property and effects belonging to you are your responsibility and we would urge you to protect your property and keep all said articles safe whilst attending the event.

 

  • It is your responsibility for your transport to and from the event. Ghostly Nights will not accept any liability for lateness, due to traffic conditions. Please always plan ahead when attending an event, any parking arrangements and/or directions will be stipulated on your ticket/on the venue information page.

 

  • It is your responsibility to park vehicles in a safe and legal manner.

 

  • Ghostly Nights are not responsible for any parking fines, breakdowns or clamping of vehicles.

 

  • When leaving the event, you will ensure that due to the lateness of the hour you will respect the needs of nearby residents by leaving quietly and quickly.

 

  • Please attend the event on time within the time frame specified on your ticket. If you are going to be late, please contact Ghostly Nights on 07493 803716. Any lateness to an event can set back the investigation.

 

  • We suggest that due to the lateness of the event, you make arrangements that ensure you are not too tired to drive.

 

 

COMFORT & CAMERA

 

  • Each guest in attendance to an event is required to dress appropriately. We recommend that you wear warm clothing that is suitable for colder temperatures and can be removed for warmer rooms if you wish. Flat, gripped shoes/boots must be worn at all times. Please be aware that surfaces may be muddy/wet/slippery. You must always take caution. The host of the event will make you aware of any hazards.

 

  • Unless otherwise stated there are no sleeping facilities available at our events.

 

  • You are welcome to bring a camping chair to sit on whilst carrying out vigils if you feel unable to stand for long periods of time. Most of our locations have seating in the base-room. If there is no seating or limited seating in the location this will be stipulated on the venue information page or we will contact to advise you.

 

  • All event locations will have facilities available, unless otherwise stated on the venue information page. Hot & Cold refreshments as well as biscuits, cake and snacks will be provided. If you have any allergies or intolerances, please contact us/leave a comment when booking your ticket to let us know. You must bring your own refreshments/biscuits/cake/snacks if you have an allergy. 

 

  • You may bring your own snacks. Please be advised that Peanuts are not allowed on any event. 

 

  • Food & Drink are not to be consumed in any part of the location apart from the base-room, unless specified.

 

  • The use of cameras, filming and recording equipment is permitted on our events. Any footage caught is deemed to be for personal use only and not for public view. Before commencing video or audio capture, you must advise anybody being recorded so that they are aware and have the choice not to be included.

 

  • Before or during the event we will ask for a group photo for our social media page. If you do not wish to be part of this, please inform a member of the team.

BEHAVIOUR

 

We want all of our guests to enjoy our events and to feel safe at all times. We know that one disruptive guest can have an adverse effect on any event. We would therefore ask you to please and agree to the terms set out in this policy and also to share with those in your booking:

 

  • No disrespectful behaviour will be tolerated as this has a detrimental impact on the event and other guests. Any behaviour deemed disrespectful or inappropriate will be dealt with swiftly and the individual(s) will be asked to leave the event regardless of any transport difficulties or adverse weather condition, and the authorities may be contacted.

 

  • You must treat all locations with the upmost respect and do not cause any damage. Be mindful at all times that some of our venues may be grade I or II listed.

 

  • You must always interact with the spiritual world and any entity that lies within the location with respect at all times. 

 

 

CANCELLATIONS AND REFUNDS POLICY

 

  • We reserve the right to cancel an event at any time, for any reason, at our own discretion. There are occasions when events are cancelled due to circumstances beyond the control of Ghostly Nights. We will endeavour to reschedule the event with more than one choice of date, and you will be notified immediately. If you are unable to attend the rescheduled date then we will refund your ticket(s) in full. 

 

  • We will not refund any expenses incurred due to the cancellation on an event. This includes travel and hotel expenses. We advise that if booking a hotel or B&B that you check to ensure that there is a late cancellation policy available to avoid any additional costs should we need to cancel any of our events.

 

  • In the rare occurrence, we can cancel an event in there are not enough guests booked to make the event financially viable to operate. If we have to cancel, we will tell you as soon as reasonably possible. In the event of this we will reschedule your booking to a new date/new venue, or alternatively refund your ticket(s) in full.

 

  • We cannot offer a refund if you are unable to attend for any reason. As our locations are paid for in advance. We are liable for these costs, even if you can’t attend the event.

 

  • All payments are non-refundable and cannot be sold to/via third parties, or re-sold.

 

  • All payments are made in full, we do not accept any deposits. However we use third party payment processors/handlers such as PayPal if you wish you spread out your payment.

 

  • Your ticket(s) may be transferred to a family member or friend if you can’t attend. You must inform Ghostly Nights if you wish to transfer your ticket(s) so that we can take new details of the transferee.

GDPR & FINAL 

 

  • Ghostly Nights capture any requested information in relation to names, addresses, email address or contact telephone numbers. All details are sensitive and will not be used for any purposes other than to be incorporated into our database for Ghostly Nights alone, as per GDPR legislation.

 

  • We may contact you from time to time with any special offers/discounts and/or new location notifications. If you do not wish to be contacted, please let us know. All marketing emails sent from Ghostly Nights will feature an ‘un-subscribe’ button by which you will be removed from our database.

 

  • Ghostly Nights is an investigation/tour company. This means that guest(s)/attendees become the investigators alongside us as event facilitators. We cannot guarantee that mediums or psychics will be in attendance from Ghostly Nights. However, we ask on our investigations at the start of the night if any guest(s) is a medium or psychic. We may ask for their input during the event for their perspective or opinion on what a guest(s) experiences during the event. This is only the opinion of the medium/psychic guest(s). Where possible and staff permitting, we will look to include a medium/psychic whenever possible.

 

  • Ghostly Nights operate a ‘No-touch’ policy. This means that no team member part of Ghostly Night will become involved in investigative practices such as ‘Table Tipping’, the use of a ‘Ouija Board’ or ‘Este Method’.

 

  • Ghostly Nights and it’s team members do not engage in any deceptive practices or fabrications, or create any misleading situations.

  • Ghostly Nights collaborates with conscientious and esteemed paranormal investigators. Our unique viewpoint should be taken into account when interpreting information. Ultimately, you hold the responsibility for your own experiences and should act in alignment with your personal beliefs, rather than relying on the beliefs of others. It’s important to note that statements made by the host or investigator represent their individual opinions and do not necessarily reflect the official policies and viewpoints of Ghostly Nights.

 

By acknowledging and consenting to these terms and conditions, you are additionally indemnifying the promoters, organisers, and individuals from any legal liability. This indemnification covers claims, damages, costs, penalties, legal actions, demands, proceedings, and any losses or expenses arising from injury or death to any person or damage to property related to your participation in the event or activity, including the premises associated with the event.
